Perry County Public Library is inviting families across Tell City and surrounding communities to dig into reading this summer with their 2026 Summer Reading Program, “Unearth a Story.” Running from May 26th through July 17th, the program encourages readers of all ages to explore books while earning prizes along the way.
The library’s Tell City Branch at 2328 Tell Street continues to offer a variety of free programs throughout the summer. Wiggle Worms Storytime welcomes little ones ages 0-3 for books, songs, movement, bubbles, and sensory play—no registration needed. Teen Tuesday in The Dungeon brings ages 13-18 together every Tuesday from 3-5 PM for video games, board games, and crafts in a relaxed setting.
Established in 1917, Perry County Public Library serves the community through two brick-and-mortar locations in Tell City and Cannelton, plus a bookmobile. The library provides books, magazines, movies, video games, Wi-Fi hotspots, downloadable content, and public computers.
