The Perry County Public Library has announced an extension of its Summer Reading Program hours through the end of August. This decision comes in response to strong turnout from the community, with families now able to visit the library on weekday evenings until 7 PM.
Library staff report that enrollment for the program has surged, exceeding last year’s participation by nearly 20 percent. They attribute this growth to successful partnerships with local schools. Additionally, free craft sessions and story time for younger children will continue every Tuesday and Thursday.
