By Town Vines Staff

The Isaiah 117 House Spencer/Perry held its annual Lemonade Stand Weekend from July 17-19, raising awareness and support for children awaiting foster care placement, with various lemonade stands across Spencer and Perry counties.

Lemonade Stand Weekend is a nationwide tradition that began in 2017 with just a few lemonade stands in Elizabethton, Tennessee, and each year, communities across the country host stands to raise awareness and support for children awaiting foster care placement, with all proceeds staying local to benefit their community’s Isaiah 117 House.

Isaiah 117 House provides for a child’s needs, whatever they may be, in the critical moments between removal and placement. The organization operates a safe and loving home where children can wait for foster care placement in a comforting environment rather than in a government office. Isaiah 117 House has locations in Tennessee, Indiana, Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, North Carolina, Iowa, and Virginia.
