Tell City and the surrounding area was first introduced to Bill & Dave’s Smokin’ Pit in August 2001, when it opened as a small carry-out BBQ spot on Main Street. Word of mouth and mouthwatering flavor quickly turned the restaurant into a local favorite.
In 2002, the business expanded to a 200-seat dine-in restaurant while staying true to its roots: hand-rubbed meats, slow-cooked to tender, fall-off-the-bone perfection. Today, the restaurant offers full-service dining with enough seats for 200 to relax and savor signature slow-smoked ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and homestyle sides.
The restaurant also provides BBQ catering for weddings, birthdays, company lunches, and community events. The business is proud to be part of Tell City’s story, one plate at a time.
