My wife and I attended the annual Farm to Table event in Tell City this past weekend. It was good to see many familiar faces—local business owners, community leaders, and residents who help make Perry County such a special place.

The event was organized by the Perry County Development Corporation, and it was clear that a lot of work went into bringing everyone together. We enjoyed seeing the community support local businesses, including Parlor Nail Spa by Dana Franzman, The Salt Room, The Detail Shop, Super Suds, Glo Time, and After Image PhotoBooth. The food was okay, and we could tell the organizers and cooks put a great deal of effort into the evening.

Jacob Lawalin gave a great performance. From where we were seated, though, it was difficult to hear the speaker clearly, and turning to watch the performance for a long time could leave some guests with a stiff neck. A speaker system that reaches more of the room and a seating arrangement with a clearer view might make the program even more enjoyable next year.

The event’s photo area was decorated to match the Farm to Table theme. It looked nice while there was still daylight, but it was harder to take a good picture after dark. We tried several times and eventually used our phone’s flash to get a photo we liked.

For future events, After Image PhotoBooth and Town Vines would be happy to help with a photo booth. After Image offers free photo booth support for small businesses, nonprofit organizations, events, and brand launches. Please contact us ahead of time so we can check the date and plan for the event.

We also want to congratulate Rich Hirakawa and Eric Martin, the winners of the cake silent auction. Their participation was a nice example of people stepping up to support the community.

All in all, it was a pleasant evening and a chance to spend time with people who care about Tell City and Perry County. Kudos to the Perry County Development Corporation for organizing the event and bringing the community together.
