Tell City Sports Complex at Hagedorn Park received its dedication ceremony on June 24, 2025, and now serves as a vibrant hub for baseball programs, leagues, and tournaments, as well as a central gathering place for families and friends.
The new complex features four baseball and softball fields, which can be converted between 200 foot and 300 foot fields. The facility includes a larger and improved concession stand and umpire lounge, air conditioned restrooms and two family restrooms, plus 376 parking spaces with six handicap parking spots.
Stephen Parker, director of Tell City Parks & Recreation, recognized that the park was built as a place for families to make memories. Heidi Young of Indiana Economic Development Corporation, which aided the complex development with state funding, recognized the hard work the city had put in. In the City’s recently completed Comprehensive Plan, Parks and Recreation goals were on the top ten list and the Sports Complex surfaced as a high priority for our community.
