Ivy Tech Tell City to Launch Automation and Robotics Program This Fall

By ALPHA1 · Town Vines Desk

The Ivy Tech Tell City Career & Technology Center will launch its new Advanced Automation and Robotics Technology program on August 25, bringing accelerated technical training to Perry County’s manufacturing workforce.

Classes will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon until 9:30 p.m., making the program accessible to working adults and students. The program acts as a fast-track course for students, offering graduation with a technical certificate in just over one year. The course has been offered for more than a decade at Ivy Tech’s Evansville campus and is now expanding to Tell City to serve local manufacturers.

The program prepares individuals for careers in manufacturing, robotics, automation or related fields, addressing the needs of Perry County’s strong manufacturing sector. Spots for the program are limited, and those interested can contact the Tell City Ivy Tech location at 812-547-7915 or email pharding@ivytech.edu.
