Tell City High School Senior Named Perry County’s 2026 Lilly Endowment Scholar

The Perry County Community Foundation has announced that Aniksha Kashyab of Tell City High School is the recipient of the 2026 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for Perry County. The prestigious scholarship provides full tuition, required fees, and up to $900 per year for books and equipment for four years of undergraduate study at any eligible Indiana college or university.

“Aniksha exemplifies the qualities of a Lilly Endowment Community Scholar,” said Emily Alvey, Regional Director of Community Engagement and Impact for the Perry County Community Foundation. “Her strong commitment to academic excellence, community involvement, and extracurricular engagement was consistently evident throughout the scholarship process.” Lilly Endowment Community Scholars are recognized for their community involvement, academic achievement, character, and leadership.

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program provides 147 scholarships statewide each year, with one awarded in Perry County. Since its creation in 1997, the program has supported more than 5,300 Indiana students with funding exceeding $490 million. The Perry County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation Alliance, has administered the scholarship program locally for 29 years, helping to raise educational attainment and improve quality of life throughout the community.
